He was predeceased by : his father Richard Jay Elias. He is survived by : his mother Fay Elias; his son Christopher R. "Little Buckaroo" Elias; his brothers, Christopher S. Elias (Jocie), Jon Elias (Mickey), Lyndell Elias (Brenda), Samuel Elias and Jay Elias; his close friend Roger Seaver; his friend Dena Kilpatrick; his cousin Parrotheads; his pet Lucy; and also Jared Gleaton. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ty's name to the Shriner's Foundation.
