She was predeceased by : her parents, Lewis Edward Mullins and Lillie Belle Tyler Mullins; her husband Roy Bess; and her sisters, Jesefer Barrett and Linda Payne.

She is survived by : her children, Stephanie Squires, Micheal Bess and Pete Bazzell; her sister Elizabeth Davis; and her grandchildren, Chris Squires, Amanda Squires and Samantha Squires. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, four nieces, and one nephew.
