She is survived by : her sons, Wilbert Lee Gillespie, Greg Gillespie and Curtis Gillespie; and her siblings, Nevella Williams and Clarence Shaw. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (4005 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34234). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Christian Fellowship Center (1800 N East Ave Unit #104, Sarasota, FL 34234). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
