James Joseph Del Negro II Obituary

It is with deep sadness, gratitude, respect, and love that we announce the passing of James Joseph Del Negro II (Sarasota, Florida). Jim passed away early in the morning of August 30, 2021, at the age of 54.

After a many-year battle with a heart condition, Jim was in the process of trying to heal himself at a wellness clinic. His process of healing exposed that he had other health issues he was unaware of that had lingered too long. Unfortunately, Jim lost this physical battle, but in our experience with Jim this past week, he was victorious in his spiritual/emotional battle.

He was so happy in his last week, and very much at peace with his life. He touched each of us by demonstrating how genuinely sweet humans can be and what it means to be a man of honor. In a profound way, Jim inspired us to be better versions of ourselves. It is so sad to see him go so soon, but we know he is forever with us and in us.

Details On viewings and ceremony to follow.

Maria Randle wrote a sympathy message

“My deepest condolences to Jim’s family. I will remember him from my Gloversville High School days. He was a dear friend and will fondly be remembered as the boy who called me half deck. He always let me wear his football jersey on Fridays and I will forever picture his boyish grin when I think of him. Rest In Peace Jim.”

“My deepest condolences to Jim’s family and close friends. I was childhood friends with Jim through public schools in Gloversville and spent quite a bit of time with him playing high school sports, as classmates and socializing in our youth. I have wonderful memories of Jim. I’m so sorry for your loss. Patrick Davin”
