He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Fruth (Hemminger) and Harvey Fruth; his siblings, Virginia Geneva (John) and Donald Fruth (Patricia); and his son John Stephen Fruth.
He is survived by: his wife Dian Fruth (Packard); his daughters, Stephanie Jacobsen (Robert) of Richmond and Julia Grasela (James) of Columbia, Missouri.; and his grandchildren, Sarah Weipert (Stephen), Andrew Miles Jacobsen (Katina) of Racine Wisconsin, Jeremy Grasela of Columbia Missouri and Jessica Theile (Matthew) of Columbia, Missouri.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
