She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Hilstrom and Evelyn Hilstrom; and her daughter Kathy Duffey. She is survived by: her child Development; her husband William Duffey (Bud); her daughters, Kim Duffey and Carolyn Braune (Duffey); and her grandchildren, Kyle, Shea, Mikaela and Jace.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in Karen Duffey's honor may be given to Trinity Memorial Fund and Honor Animal Rescue.
