It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Walter Carswell of Sarasota, Florida, born in Herkimer, New York, who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carswell and Eleanor Carswell; his brothers, Matthew and Jude; and his in-laws, Carmen and Barbara Ungaro.

He is survived by: his wife Claire Ungaro Carswell; his children, Mark Carswell (Michaela) and Nicole Carswell (Niklaus); his grandchildren, Forrest, Carmen, Freya and Eleanora; and his brothers, Luke Carswell (Beth) of Brewerton, NY and John Carswell (Lisa) of Clayton, NC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

The family is requesting that donations in his name be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, 12902 Magnolia Drive, MBC-FOUND, Tampa, FL 33612.
