He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ellstrom Pate; his sons, Terry M. Pate of Melbourne, FL and Robert A. Pate (Lisa) of Louisiana; his siblings, James Earl Pate (Sue) and Etheline Pate Dorsey; and his sister-in-law Dreama Pate of West Virginia.
