He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Martha Bryant; his children, Evelyn Ford Hill (Jackie), Edwin Mike Wilson (Daisy), Dale Reeves, Jabari Ford (Karey), Edwin Ford (Santonia), Sherry Freeman (Thomas) and Diana McCray; his siblings, Eloise Fisher (John), Joseph Ford (Carol) and Carl Ford (Felecia); his sister-in-law Susie Ford; and his aunts, Lacie Franklin Hudson and Deloris Bell (Lucious). He was also cherished by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
