He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Tooman and Alcy Barnes Tooman; and his siblings, Virgil N. (Jeane), Kenneth (Virginia), Louise West (Charles) and Anna Belle (H. R. Menasco).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McCreery Yates Tooman; his children, Derrel E. Tooman, Jr. (Monica Rose), Tracy Lee Tooman Angrick and Rob Yates (Janice); his grandchildren, Sara Tooman, Lauren Angrick Tyree (Josef), Michael Angrick, Christopher Angrick and Robert Yates; his nieces, Beki Tooman Patrick (Joe), Janet Tooman, Paula Tooman Hradkowsky (Alex) and Sydney Tooman Betts (Michael); and his nephew Michael Tooman.
In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to HPH Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
