He was predeceased by: his parents, Duckett Pointer and Lois Pointer; and his brother Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Vel (Ware); his children, Doyle (Tina), Laura Popovich (Fred) and Amy Pointer; his grandchildren, Amanda, Cody, Victoria, Joe, Zack and Judson; his great grandchildren, Alivia, Bianca and Myles; his stepgrandchildren, Zoey, Chellsea, Jonathon and Heather; and his sister Joyce Thompson (Kenneth).
Military services will be private due to Covid 19.
