We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2018, at the age of 85, Edward Tinney (Spring Hill, Florida), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He lived by the quote "Old Soldiers Never Die, They Just Fade Away. He is survived by his wife: Marie; sons: Patrick Tinney of Louisville, Kentucky and Danny Tinney of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter: Carol White of Louisville, Kentucky; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, where a Wake will begin at 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
