He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Gibson and Lizzie Higginson Gibson; and his siblings, John, Bill, Tom, Edwin, Elizabeth Harris and Florence Britton.

He is survived by: his son Kenneth Gibson of Stuart, FL; and his grandson Kevin Nechay (Kelli) of Arkansas. He is also survived by two great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
