He was predeceased by : his wife Vernett Hicks-James; and his son Hezekiah James III. He is survived by : his children, Ronald Atlanta (Laverne), Anita, Morris, Vanessa Jones Atlanta (Richard), Georgia, Gregory, Ruth, Gianetta, Douglas (Gia), LaNorris Linder and Shirley Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; his sister Claudia Linder; and his friends, Raymond Seymore and Joseph Clinton. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 10 great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
