She was predeceased by : her parents, James Holt (Jack) and Bell Vincent (Holt) of Missouri; and her brother James Edward Holt (Jack). She is survived by : her husband Robert S. Chatmon; her daughters, Karen Smith (Chatmon) and Christy Chatmon; her sister Emma Jean Lathern; her grandsons, Joshua Smith and Aaron Smith; her cousins, John Mathis and Evonne Sheppard; her nieces and nephews, Barbara Laurene Holt, Yolanda Lathern, Valerie Lathern, Dwayne Holt, Michael Holt, Anthony Holt, Regina Finch (Dickerson), Jack Holt and April Jones (Holt); and her cousin Donna Robinson (Richardson). She is also survived by other cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel M. B Church (224 N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32301).
