He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Carmello Porretto and Mildred Mary Porretto (McDonald); his wife Anna Carol Porretto (Mudd); his son Dean McDonald Joseph Porretto; and his brother Cyril Porretto.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mitchell Porretto of New Orleans and Janice Junca-Moore of Las Vegas; his children, Anna Taylor (Steve) of Michigan, Paul Porretto, Gia Jelinek (Jerry), Chuck Porretto (Carol) of Tallahassee and Maria Retamal of Delray Beach; his grandchildren, Danielle, Charlie, Dustin, Jordan, Tavo, Ryan (Katherine), Nick (Julia), Julia and Christian; and his great grandchildren, Colby, Nixon and Gwen. He is also survived by loving cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee.
