It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christie Sue Chason of Tallahassee, Florida, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Howard Chason, Jr.; her parents, Marion George Pearce, Sr. and Minnie Amelia Pearce; her brother Marion George Pearce, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Wanda Pearce Geiger and Ray Bunton; and her nephew Marion George Pearce, III.
She is survived by: her children, John Chason, III (Lisa) and Debra Dawson (Steve); her grandchildren, Lindsay Murrell (Greg), Daniel Chason (Britany), Connor Chason, Jeffrey Dawson (Summer) and Christopher Dawson; her great grandchildren, Emilia Murrell, Madeline Murrell, Camden Murrell, Wyatt Chason and Hunter Nichols; her sister-in-law Mildred Bunton; and her sibling's children, Nancy McKee (Pat), Dean Bunton (Karen) and Greg Bunton. She is also survived by great nephews, great nieces and cousins.
