He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Nelson Cummings, Sr. and Flossie M. Cummings (Slater); his sister Ann Hahn (Manly); and his wife Madonna Rose Cummings (Nellett) of Saginaw, MI.. He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Cummings (Pam) and Greg Cummings (Susan); his grandchildren, Jonathon Cummings (Rachel), Jeremy Cummings (Martha), David Cummings (Erica), Chris Cummings (Laura), Hannah Cummings, Alex Cummings (Sydney) and Brandon Cummings (Courtney); his stepgrandchildren, Judy Lennon (Patrick), Timothy McWhirter (Maggie) and Ashley Morris (Matt); and his sister-in-law Jackie Richards (Richie). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren.
