It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Collean Glynn Hickox Stokes (Tallahassee, Florida), born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Herman O. Stokes Jr.; her parents, Lois Highsmith Smith and William Mose Hickox; her son Mark Alan Stokes; her brothers, Francis Smith Jr. and James Jerry Smith; and her close friend Pearl Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Gail Kegley (Steve), Jeffery Scott, Daniel Herman Stokes and Bridget Collean Kittrell (Bruce); her brother William Truman Hickox (Loretta); her grandchildren, Steve Kegley Jr. (Callie), Camerata Matchett, Jordan Stokes (Christie), Jared Stokes (Bethany), Seth Kegley, Somer Pell (Brent), Mallory McGinnis (Matt) and Jackson Kittrell (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Paige Collean Kegley, Ethan Strickland, Caleb Kegley, Bryson Kegley, John Pell, William Pell, Shane Kegley, Evan Strickland, Diana Matchett, Aubrey Kegley, Annalyn Kegley, Ella Stokes, Teagan McGinnis, Ryan Kegley, Barrett Stokes, Silas Kegley, Slade McGinnis, Wyatt Stokes, Brenner Stokes and Brandt Stokes.
