It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gaston Shepherd Jr. (Tallahassee, Florida), who passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James G. Shepherd, Sr. and Zella Mae Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Nell Shepherd; his children, Warren G. Shepherd of Crawfordville and Jennifer Browning of Tallahassee; and his siblings, Gene Shepherd of Crawfordville, Maudine Casey of Simpsonville, SC and Geri Roddenberry of Sopchoppy. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beggs Funeral Home Apalachee Chapel (3322 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beggs Funeral Homes (3322 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311).
