He was predeceased by: his parents, James N. Slaughter and Mamie Harrell Slaughter; and his brother Larry Hunter Slaughter. He is survived by: his wife Luan Slaughter; his sons, Kevin Slaughter (Holli) and Brett Slaughter; his grandsons, Brandon and Tyler Slaughter; his nephew Eric Slaughter; and his friend Reggie King.
