He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Chalker and Myrtle Griffin Ganey; his grandparents, Oscar Bowman and Lucy Griffin; and his brothers, Aubrey Wayne and Dan "Danny" Ganey.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Ganey (Gail) of Tallahassee, Kenneth Ganey (K. L.), Reverend Anthony Ganey (Kay) of Tallahassee and Jennifer Ganey of Tallahassee; his grandchildren, Arielle, Melody Ganey, David, Austin, Victoria Ganey (Tori), Garrett, Dylan Ganey, Tanner and Ryan Causseaux; his great grandchildren, Rylee Grace, Parker Ganey and Gavin Ganey; and his siblings, Larry Ganey of Crawfordville and Dianne Kelley of Woodville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic, a private family service is planned for Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 3pm, graveside at Oakland Cemetery, Tallahassee Florida, 838 North Bronough Street.
