She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Shelfer and Betty Lou Boynton Shelfer. She is survived by: her husband Michael Joseph Heinze; her daughter Carmen Giddon; her granddaughters, Lola and Beatrice; and her brothers, Fred Shelfer, Jim Shelfer, Bruce Shelfer and Steve Shelfer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
