He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel W. Stokes and Lilian Avis Stokes (Knight); his former wife Cathy; and his siblings, Wayne Wilson and Doreen Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Renée Balzer (James) of Zephyrhills, David R. Stokes (Shelly) of Port Richey and Kevin R. Stokes of Tampa; his grandchild Kat Clark; and his brothers, Daniel Stokes (Sharon), Bart Wilson (Vera) and Lester Wilson (Lora). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held 1pm. Friday, February 18 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave., Bushnell, FL 33513 Those who wish to remember David in a special way, the family has designated the Saint Francis Society Animal Rescue for memorial contributions. stfrancisrescue.org.
