He is survived by : his wife Martha Creed Wells of 53 1/2 years, his children, Elijah Wells III (Kris) and Samantha Stewart (Jeff); his granddaughters, Abby, Kylie, Jordyn and Emily; his great grandchild Joshua; his sisters, Frances, Ida and Emma (Billy); and his siblings-in-law, Johnny, Lois and Frances. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
