It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Jerita Chastain of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on August 28, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Blair and Cora Chastain; her aunt Louise Williams; her brother John Blair; her son-in-law Eugene McRae; her granddaughter Monique Coy; and her great grandchild Breanna Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia McRae, Debrah Coy, Donna Burton (Joseph), Marvin Hardy and Marena Hardy; her grandchildren, Pamela Coy, Tameka Wilson, Jamilya McAllister (Charlie), Kevin Coy, Monica Coy, Christopher McRae, Ashley Witherspoon (Nesha), Chaunte Lockhart and Irvin Singletary, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Eldridge Reed III, Eddrick Reed, Malik Wells, Mahogany Coy, Kristen Hadley, Sr., Roberts IV, Zharia Wilson, Kevin Coy, Jr., Shamariah Priester, Dominick Roberts, Jamil Mayo and Greysen Burton; and her cousins, Ossie Lee Hendricks and Darrell Moody. She is also survived by eleven great-great-grandchildren; and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
