She is survived by: her mother Helen Varsalona; her husband Dr. James Carlson (Jim); her children, Gina Miles (Chris) and Joel Perez; her stepsons, Brian (Darin) and Keith Carlson (Wendy); and her grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Matthew, Jordan, Jonathan, Jason, Taylor and Josie. She is also survived by her family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Equality Florida, Stageworks Theatre, freeFall Theatre and A Kid's Place of Tampa Bay are appreciated.
