He was predeceased by: his father Johnny Watkins; and his brother Bruce W. Watkins. He is survived by: his mother Betty F. Watkins Fissel; his siblings, Danny Watkins, Garry W. Watkins, Louise Watkins Scott, Sharon Watkins Reynolds and Loretta Fissel Hart; and his siblings' children, Scotty Singletary, Amanda Fissel, Lance Hart, Brandi Hart, Danielle Watkins, Kelly Watkins, Robie Braggs, Cheryl Braggs, Megan Reynolds, Holly Watkins and Julian Watkins.
