She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Smith and Jack Smith; and her brothers, John, Frank and Doyle Smith.

She is survived by : her husband James J Markart; her children, Karen Markart McGarvey (Bryce McGarvey) and James M Markart (Barbara Markart); her grandchildren, Tanner James McGarvey, Shelby Lynne McGarvey and Joseph Michael Markart (Shelby); her great grandchild Parker (David Smith); her nephew David Smith Jr.; her great-nephew Johnny (Donna Patterson); her aunt Velma Smith; and her nephew Curtis Smith. She is also survived by her family, friends.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home -Carrollwood (3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618).
