She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Abbate. She is survived by : her sister Pattie Acheson Arasi (Louis); and her nieces and nephews, Allison McGinley (Matt), Lisa Ruddock (Kit) and Catherine Kelleher (Luke). She is also survived by five great nephews.
