It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward James Purcell III of Temple Terrace, Florida, born in Lakeland, Florida, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward J. Purcell II and Marie Woods Purcell. He is survived by : his wife Martha Ann Wiggs Purcell; his sisters, Joan Purcell Bailey and Jerri Purcell Myers; his children, Patricia Purcell Kenney (Mike), Deborah Purcell Rothenberger (Dan), Barbara Purcell Bushnell and Edward Michael Purcell (Laurie); his grandchildren, Joseph Marion Purcell, Michael Purcell, Brian Rothenberger (Kate), Madison Kenney (Randy Ramos), Dylan Tozier and Allison Hoffman (MJ); and his great grandchild Noah Hoffman.

A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (9715 N 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617).
