She was predeceased by: her husband Dahya Patel; and her daughter Shanta Patel. She is survived by: her children, Raman Patel, Chuni Parbhu, Bharat Patel, Kusum Patel, Mani Dilkhush and Manjula Patel. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Ekal Vidyalaya Education Fund.
