He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Kelly and Eleanor Kelly; his former life partner Loretta Anne Kelly; and his siblings, Walter, Eleanor, Rose and Joseph.

He is survived by : his son Gerald J Kelly Jr.; his grandchildren, Liam and Elana Kelly; his brother Edward Kelly (Maryanne); his wife Christine; his stepchildren, Mary Jo Staub (Bernard) and Jeffrey Pianis (Tammy); and his stepgrandson Anthony Pianis.
