He is survived by: his son Joshua Gilkerson (Nikita); his grandchildren, Sebastian, Lincoln and Ralston of Campbell, California; his daughter Kinsey Chambers (Ben); his granddaughter Ella of Louisville, Kentucky; and his siblings, Bonnie Gail Madden (Donald) of Flagler Beach, Florida and Doug Gilkerson (Rene'e) of Columbia. He is also survived by his family, friends.
