We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2024, at the age of 83, Dorothy Elizabeth Whitener of Valrico, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesse Waldron and Eliza Waldron; and her son Gregory Whitener. She is survived by : her husband Ed Whitener of Valrico, FL; her children, Mia Dorton of Valrico, FL and Todd Whitener of Tampa, FL; her sisters, Wilma Coulter of Fort Meade, FL and Patricia Cooper (Buddy) of Fort Meade, FL; her grandchildren, Zach Dorton (Chi), Hope Dorton and Eliza Dorton; and her great grandchild Elizabeth Dorton.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cornerstone Church of God (10 S Seminole Ave, Fort Meade, FL 33841). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
