He was predeceased by: his parents, Moses Jackson and Lucille Jackson; and his siblings, Moses Jackson, Lee James Jackson and Ollie Bee Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Jean Jackson Solomon (Alfonia), Valencia Jackson and Robert Lee Jackson, Jr.; his stepchildren, Sarah Johnson, Ernestine Jackson and Willie Jackson; his granddaughter Sheila Powell; and his siblings, Eva Stephens, Mentora Ross, Ollie Mae Mosley, Dorothy Morgan (Perry), David Jackson (Helen), Thomas Jackson and James Edward Jackson. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
