She is survived by: her children, James Hemphill, Artenkah Carswell and Veronica Hemphill; her grandchildren, Isiah Hemphill, Shawn Woods, Stevion Walker, Chamia Mobley, Demi Sparks, Altariq Gilliard, Daron Mobley, Kay-Ree Hemphill, Abdul White and Semajah Hemphill; and her siblings, Willie Carswell and Mary Carswell. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
