It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Edith Lopez of Daytona Beach, Florida, born in Gibson, Georgia, who passed away on May 20, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ozelle Johnson and Bobbie Lee Willoughby Johnson; and her siblings, Joe N. Johnson and Renay Johnson. She is survived by : her children, Hiram Daniels III, Kimmy Laycock (Dan) and Tangela Brathwaite (Philip); her granddaughter Alyssa Brathwaite; her goddaughter Tierra Williams; her extended family, Ruby, Kirk, Rosalynd Allen and Jaylyn DeBose; and her pet Sophie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends.
