He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Thomas (Riebel) and Donald W. Thomas; his brothers, Bob Thomas (Joyce) and Bill Thomas; and his wife Patricia Sague Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Major Donald Wayne Thomas III, Stacy Lawler Thomas, Stephanie Thomas Dorval (Alex) and Patrick Thomas; and his sisters, Betty Layman, Judy Thompson and Ginny Rose. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
