With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Lou Hickox (Fernandina Beach, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaiah Gomillion and Adelia Gomillion; and her husband Alvin Wiley Hickox. She is survived by: her children, Mike Hickox (Wendy Sapp) of Fernandina Beach, Vicki Carter (Hotshot) of Fernandina Beach and Malcolm Hickox (Pam) of Fernandina Beach; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Carroll, Lacy Lehman, Marcus Carter, Tori Flowers, Alexis Hill, Chelsea Bosch, Hannah Newton and Dalton Hickox. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and a large number of extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors (1305 Atlantic Ave, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
