He was predeceased by : his parents, John Dewitt Dickson, Jr. and Elise Hook Dickson; his wife Joy Schwamb Dickson; and his brothers, Lawrence Robert Dickson and John Dewitt Dickson III.
He is survived by : his daughters, Elise Wells (Randy) of Pineview and Debbie Dickson McCartney (Michael) of Abbeville; his great grandchildren, Carlyn Wells, Lyla Scott, Fischer Hall, Micah Wells, Hannah Wells, Josiah Wells, Isaiah Wells, Alexis Bridgers, Valorie Whitman, Calleigh Whitman, Emersyn Spires, Evan Spires, Mixie Spires, Daveigh Wade, Chris Wogan (Erica), Michael Anderson (Amber), Terrence L. Wogan II and Jon Wogan; and his nephews, Alex Dickson (Julie), Ivan Dickson and Hugo Dickson.
