He was predeceased by : his parents, William Henry "Dick" Elsberry and Stella Harp Elsberry; his wife Martha Kathleen Wilcox Elsberry "Teeny"; and his sister Shirley Huiras. He is survived by : his children, Carl W. Elsberry (Vicki) of Chatsworth, Jerry M. Elsberry (Carolyn) of Abbeville and Janet E. Hawthorne (David) of Rocky Face; his grandchildren, Crystal Elsberry Kemp of Chatsworth, Allen Elsberry (Amber) of Fitzgerald, Jerry Mark Elsberry Jr. (Melissa) of Middleburg, Fla., Mindy Wilson (Heath) of Eastman, Heidi Cartledge (Zac) of Lexington, SC., Joshua Hawthorne of Rocky Face and Jordan Hawthorne of Rocky Face; his great grandchildren, Brianna, Corey, Lucas, Eliana, Jerry III, David, Andy, Zoe, Zane and Clara Wren; and his brother Charles Elsberry of Dalton.
