She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alvin Ellis and Minnie Hayes Ellis; her brother Willie Lee Ellis; her children, Tommy Rigdon (Joyce) of Alma, Donnie Joe Rigdon (Deleen) of Alma, Terry Wayne Rigdon (Willene) of Alma, Jerone Rigdon (Shelia) of Alma, Connie Adams (Jimmy) of Alma and Melinda Johnson (Dwight) of Baxley; and her brother Vernnie Ellis (Elma) of Alma. She was also cherished by 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
