He was predeceased by : his parents, Hancil Harley Sr. and Colleen Taylor Howell; his daughter Pamela Howell; and his brothers, Tommy and Larry Joe Howell.

He is survived by : his children, Christopher Glenn Taylor (Dawn) of Alma, Hancil Harley Howell III (Rachel) of Jessup and Amanda Estell Howell of Douglas; and his siblings, Billy Ray Howell (Janie) of Hahira, Spencer Howell (Lindsey) of Folkston, Thomas Howell of Alma, Josh Howell of Folkston and Diane Heath (Tommy) of Milan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
