It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James R. Bagwell of Alpharetta, Georgia, who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Hughes; his daughter Selena B. Turner; and his grandsons, Kyle (Adrienne Turner) and Ryan (Hayley Turner).

“I first met James and Sara when Hines was developing Deerfield. He was feisty, honest, clever! I always enjoyed seeing them.Sara was an amazing cook. They invited me to their table as often as I saw them. I never went home without something wonderful canned by Sara and a sack of tomatoes or muscadines. They were so generous and caring, and I found myself stopping by often just to say hello, even long after the project was over. I loved him and will miss them both. So sorry to hear this sad news.”
