He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hamdi Ercan and Zulfiye Ercan; his wife Fusun Ercan; his children, Bora Ercan and Ebru Ercan (Allen Sautter); and his grandsons, Alex and Evan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in his Honor.
