He is survived by: his former wife Alice May Graves of Manhattan, KS.; his daughter Sandra Persyn (Sandy) of Shawnee, KS; his significant other Holly Oppenhuizen (Hay); his children, John Persyn of Leavenworth, KS, Mark Oppenhuizen (Penny) of Bainbridge Island, WA, Nancy Bender (Steve) of Cumming, GA and Sherrie Persyn (Lund) of Basehor, KS; his grandchildren, Kaleena Grasela (Joseph), Sarah Oppenhuizen, Peter Oppenhuizen, Emily Malbouef (Nicholas), Mark Bender (Kaho), Ryan Bender (Lisa) and Elizabeth Bender (Betsy); and his great grandchildren, Haley Bender, Cody Cowart and Chase Bender.
