It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Suzanne Tefft (Alpharetta, Georgia), born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on January 27, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Col. Howard E. Tefft; her parents, Herbert Wooten Sammons and Louise Lambert Sammons; and her brothers, Herbert Wooten Sammons, Jr., John Lambert Sammons and Harry Camel Sammons.
She is survived by: her children, Wallace Gage Barker, Jr. (Katherine) and Anne Sammons Barker Peacock (Earl); her grandchildren, Sarah Anne Peacock, Laura Sammons Kuhl, Rachel Louise Scott, Joshua Gage Barker, Madeline Barker Lubin and Griffin Gage Barker; her stepsons, Howard E Tefft, Jr. (Carol) and Kirk E. Tefft (Barbara); and her stepgrandson Howard E. Tefft, III. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to flowers, donations may be sent to the Martha Stewart Bulloch Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Marcheta Knight Weitz Scholarship Fund.
