We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2025, at the age of 83, Virginia Carolyn Thompson of Ambrose, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Virginia Carolyn departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Virginia Carolyn. Though Virginia Carolyn may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oveida Purvis Day and Earnest Day; and her brother Sherrill Day. She is survived by: her children, David Ricketson (Debra), Steve Thompson (Becky) and Beth Wright (Kevin); her grandchildren, Ashley Ricketson (Jessica), Jonathan Wright and Jordan Wright; and her close friend Bobby Mancil.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethany Holiness Baptist Church (166 Bethany Church Rd, Ambrose, GA 31512). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
