He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Esco White and Lucile Holloway White; and his brothers, Charles White, Herschel White and Harvey White.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Hodge White; his children, Teresa White Crawford (Terri) and James White Jr.; his grandchildren, Ben Hodge Crawford and Sarah-Anne Hodge Crawford; and his close friend Gibbs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to Sumter Humane Society, where Benny met Mr. Gibbs, or to Salem United Methodist Church.
